【摘要】:Specifiesamethodfordeterminingtheswellingpropertiesofhardcoalwhenheatedunderstandardconditionsinadilatometer.Inperformingthemethodapencilmadeofpowderedcoalformedunderpressureisinsertedintoapreciselycalibratednarrowtubeandtoppedbyacalibratedsteelrodwhichslidesintheboreofthetube.Thewholeisheatedataconstantanddefiniterate.Bymakingregularreadingsofthedisplacementoftherodasafunctionofthetemperatureandexpressingthedisplacementsobservedaspercentagesoftheoriginallengthofthepeniclacurveisplotted.
